2018 ANC Scholarship Application Now Open

Applications are now being accepted for the 2018 Arthur N. Caple Scholarship Awards program. This program is offered through the Arthur N. Caple Foundation.

What is the ANC Foundation?
The Arthur N. Caple Foundation was formed to advance knowledge in the field of public sector retirement security. The Foundation, established in 2006 in connection with the National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators (NAGDCA), supports both individual educational opportunities and research to expand knowledge related to the importance of retirement readiness.

There are two key components to the Foundation’s mission:

  1. Retirement Education - The Foundation provides higher education students with funding to study financial or retirement planning and creates opportunities for students to participate in related learning opportunities.
  2. Research and Information Exchange - The Foundation supports research, information sharing and collaborative endeavors that further retirement readiness and expand knowledge of retirement issues and solutions.

How does the Scholarship Award Program Work?
Awards – Awards are given annually to students in the retirement/financial planning fields who best demonstrate knowledge of financial and retirement planning concepts and dedication to creating careers in these fields. This year, approximately seven will be awarded to students. Students who have received an award in the past are not eligible to apply. Awards include the following:

  1. Art Caple Scholar - One recipient will receive a $5,000 scholarship for educational expenses; complimentary registration, travel, and hotel accommodations (approximately $1,800) for the NAGDCA Annual Conference, Sept. 23-26, 2018 in Philadelphia, PA; and approximately $900 for expenses covering the InFRE® Certified Retirement Counselor® (CRC®) certification materials and exam.
  2. 2018 Conference Attendance Awards – Six students will be awarded complimentary registration, travel, and hotel accommodations (approximately $1,800) for the NAGDCA Annual Conference, Sept. 23-26, 2018 in Philadelphia, PA.
